While the official NFL schedule won't be released until May 14, the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will most likely play in the first game of the regular season. And since the Los Angeles Rams will face the Eagles at some point in 2025, there is also a chance they will play in the season-opening game.

One writer disagrees, though. Pro Football Network's Kyle Soppe predicted the Rams would miss the postseason despite a 82.4% chance to make the playoffs, per PFN's predictor. The teams that it ahead of the Rams included the NFC West-winning Arizona Cardinals as well as the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks in the wildcard.
