Tennessee native Parton revealed the upcoming summer dates for the musical during a press conference held at Belmont's Fisher Center For the Performing Arts.

Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Dolly Parton 's new musical is set to premiere in Nashville ahead of its 2026 Broadway run. The 79-year-old country music icon announced Tuesday that her show, Dolly: An Original Musical, will begin previews July 18 at Belmont University's Fisher Center for the Performing Arts.

Dolly Parton says those who want to get a first look at her Broadway show Dolly: An Original Musical will be able to see it in Nashville this summer before it heads to the bright lights of New York in 2026. In fact, tickets are already on sale.
