A year ago, the Houston Astros added to their bullpen with the type of free-agent splash they rarely make, signing closer Josh Hader in a move meant to build a late-innings trio that would let them shorten games from the back end.

Veteran relief pitcher Ryan Pressly, who was on the mound when the Astros clinched the 2022 World Series, will again be teammates in 2025 with right-fielder Kyle Tucker, who caught the final out of the Fall Classic-clinching win over the Phillies.
