After last week's winter storm, several Arkansas school districts have announced that they will remain closed or will open late on Monday because of icy road conditions in neighborhoods and secondary streets.

Despite widespread melting across Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley, some local schools are opting to close on Jan. 13.

Officials with various school districts in central Arkansas and around the state announced that schools will be closed on Monday.
