One of the six people severely injured in a Hawaii fireworks explosion and flown to Phoenix for treatment has died.
A 29-year-old man who died nearly a month after sustaining serious burns was among six victims recovering at the Arizona Burn Center.
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - One of the six patients being hospitalized at a burn center in Arizona has died, officials said on Tuesday. This raises the death toll in the Aliamanu fireworks explosion to 5. Honolulu police said a 29-year-old man died at approximately 6:40 a.m. HST at an Arizona hospital.
Another person has died as a result of a fireworks blast in Hawaii that left over 20 people dead or wounded, according to authorities.
The 29-year-old man had been flown to hospital in Arizona following the explosion, which also killed a three-year-old boy and three women.

Carmelita Benigno, 61, Nelie Ibarra, 58, and Jennifer Van, 23, died in the blast at a Keaka Drive house party at 12:01 a.m. New Year’s Day. Cassius Ramos-­Benigno, 3, died Jan. 6 at the hospital.
