THIRD THINGS THIRD: After their win last night, the Cubs are 44-75 in second games of all series at Los Angeles vs. the Dodgers. But they are 29-36 after having lost first games. They are 43-55 in third games, but only 8-24 after having won second games.

The Chicago Cubs had one of those ‘savor the moment’ games Saturday night…and it came at the expense of, arguably, the best team in baseball. Up until last night’s 16-0 rout, the Dodgers appeared to have the Cubs’ number,
