On 21st January, Netflix announced a new Harlan Coben series was officially in the works. They shared the update on their Instagram profile, with a picture of Harlan and series lead James Nesbitt holding the book the series is based on, Run Away.

Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Netflix is teasing Run Away, a new limited series based on a Harlan Coben novel starring James Nesbitt. Nesbitt portrays Simon, who is father to Ellie de Lange's character, Paige.

James Nesbitt and Ruth Jones have been cast in Run Away, the new Netflix collaboration with author Harlan Coben. The upcoming eight-part series, based on Coben’s 2019 novel, sees Nesbitt play Simon Greene, a father whose world comes crumbling down after his daughter (Ellie de Lange) runs away from home.

Fresh from her success in Gavin and Stacey, Ruth Jones is to play a lead role in the latest Netflix adaption of the work of US thriller writer Harlan Coben. She will star opposite Cold Feet star James Nesbitt in the eight-part series of Coben's book Run Away, published in 2019.

Meanwhile, other stars set to appear include Alfred Enoch (The Couple Next Door), Lucian Msamati (Conclave), Jon Pointing (Big Boys), Ellie de Lange (Wolf Hall), Adrian Greensmith (Harlan Coben’s Shelter), Ellie Henry (Hollyoaks), Tracy-Ann Oberman (Friday Night Dinner) and Annette Badland (Ted Lasso).

Harlan Coben’s Run Away will be available to watch on Netflix. Harlan titles currently available to stream on Netflix include: Missing You, Fool Me Once, Gone For Good, The Stranger, Stay Close, The Innocent, Hold Tight, The Woods, Safe.

Alfred Enoch is well known for his role as Wes Gibbins in How to Get Away with Murder, as well as for portraying Dean Thomas in the Harry Potter film series. In addition to his screen work, he has appeared in British TV dramas like Sherlock and built a strong reputation in theatre with various Shakespearean roles. Enoch will play Isaac Fagbenle.
