More than a dozen residents of a South Austin condominium have been displaced after a fire hit one of its buildings, according to the Austin Fire Department. The fire was reported shortly after 8 p.m.

AUSTIN, Texas - One person was rescued after a condo fire in South Austin. On Wednesday, Feb. 19, firefighters responded to a roof fire at the Talisman Condos in the 1500 block of Barton Springs Road. One person was evaluated by Austin-Travis County EMS for minor injuries.

Calls came in to 911 around 7:45 p.m. for a two-story building with a roof on fire in the 1500 block of Barton Springs Road, De La Reza said. It went to a second alarm, because AFD “knew conditions were very cold.”
