President Donald Trump vowed to extend the deadline for the "TikTok ban" until a deal is struck to sell the Chinese-owned social media app to a U.S. owner, saying in an interview on Sunday that he has a "warm spot" in his heart for it.

President Donald Trump says if a deal is not reached and TikTok faces a ban in the US, he will extend the deadline in hopes of fixing the situation permanently.

Trump has twice granted a reprieve from the enforcement of a congressionally mandated ban on TikTok that was initially due to take effect in January.
