This bird migrates annually from its breeding grounds in the Canadian Artic to wintering regions, such as the Southeastern U.S., Northwestern Gulf waters and the Gulf Coast of Louisiana.

The previous group was released at Grand Isle Beach in southeast Louisiana. Kemp’s ridley sea turtles are the smallest and most endangered of all sea turtle species, the rescue team said.
