If you weren’t tired of ARM-based PCs, Qualcomm says its new Snapdragon X eclipses X86 in power efficiency for cheap PCs.

Qualcomm is introducing another Arm laptop chip to its Snapdragon X series today, lowering the cost of Copilot Plus PCs to around $600. The new Snapdragon X joins the existing Snapdragon X Plus and X Elite and will be available in a variety of devices from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo in the coming months.

An upcoming budget-focused Snapdragon X processor will join the X Elite and X Plus lines. The company is also bringing its CPUs to the market for mini desktops.

During the height of CES 2025, Qualcomm unveiled the existence of its new Snapdragon X processor, which the company says will create opportunities for more budget-friendly Windows laptops as early as this year.
