FEMA administrators warned on Sunday that some hurricane victims may soon lose access to their temporary housing.

FEMA posted the announcement on X, formerly Twitter, just before 8:15 p.m., the night before many families would be forced to check out of the area hotels housing them. This is the third extension FEMA has granted displaced residents using the agency’s Transitional Sheltering Assistance program in the last week.
