As multiple deadly wildfires continue to burn across the Los Angeles area, firefighters are getting some extra help from fire departments across the country and neighboring countries.

Mexico has sent 72 firefighters to Los Angeles on Saturday to help battle the devastating wildfires across the region. Disaster relief workers from the National Forestry Commission and the Ministry of Defense in Mexico also arrived to assist local emergency workers.

The deployments come days before the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, who has threatened the United States’ largest trade partners with tariffs.

Mexican firefighters have arrived in U.S. to help battle wildfires which have devastated large areas of California. Two aircraft carrying the crews, as well as humanitarian aid, landed in Los Angeles on Saturday where they were greeted by California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Los Angeles is reeling from the most destructive wildfires in its history, and firefighters are struggling to contain the devastating blaze.

Multiple wildfires, including the Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire, are raging across Southern California Friday, leaving at least 11 dead and burning more than 10,000 homes across 27,000 acres, officials say.

A team of firefighters from Mexico arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on Saturday, joining the personnel of more than 14,000 already battling the Palisades and Eaton fires in the Los Angeles area.
