Tuscaloosa police were called to the 1500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd around 10:30 p.m. on a report of a shooting.

Police say the shooting occurred Tuesday night at a gas station in the 1500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Tuscaloosa police were dispatched at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday to the Shell station in the 1500 Block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Tuscaloosa on a shooting.

Jermaine Lockett, 29, of Tuscaloosa was later identified as the suspect and taken into custody. He's been charged with attempted murder, tampering with physical evidence and certain persons forbidden from possessing a firearm.

The Tuscaloosa Police arrested a man on attempted murder and other charges following a gas station shooting that occured on Tuesday.

Police said the charges followed an incident on Clapgate Lane, Bartley Green, where a man suffered a gunshot wound A man has been charged with attempted murder after two people were injured last summer.
