An ICC delegation is set to visit Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Saturday to assess ongoing preparations for the 2025 Champions Trophy. This visit is part of the second phase of their Pakistan tour to review arrangements for the tournament, Express News reported. The six-member team will inspect the stadium's construction and renovation work.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to begin on February 19, with Pakistan hosting the marquee ICC tournament in a hybrid model (neutral venue). India will play all their matches (group-stage games, semifinal and final) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

There have been several media reports stating that the Champions Trophy 2025 might be shifted out of Pakistan due to delay in renovation work at the stadiums in the country.

As a result, the United Arab Emirates was chosen as the joint venue to host all of India’s games in the tournament. A total of eight teams will be vying for the coveted trophy. While seven other teams will be playing across three venues in Pakistan,

India are expected to play a practice match in Dubai ahead of their Champions Trophy 2025 campaign, which will take place at the same venue, according to a report from India Today. The ICC is currently working on finalizing practice facilities across the four venues in Pakistan and organizing the warm-up schedule for the eight teams participating in the prestigious tournament.

Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi are the three venues that have been chosen to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 from February 19. January 25, 2025 is the deadline for the completion of works.
