Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick roasted the Indianapolis Colts on national television Monday night, and Colts owner Jim Irsay has responded. Belichick was alongside Peyton Manning and Eli Manning on “ManningCast” for the Monday Night Football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints.

During his appearance on the “ManningCast” on Monday Night Football, former Patriots coach Bill Belichick made a joke about the past allegations that the Colts used artificial crowd noise during a back-and-forth with co-host (and former Colts quarterback) Peyton Manning.

Belichick was referring to a 2007 matchup between the Colts and Patriots where the league looked into an accusation that the Colts were pumping in fake crowd noise. The league and CBS both found that the issue was specific to the broadcast — where the crowd audio skipped — and not something people in the stadium were actually hearing.
